Ingredients for Black Forest Cake Recipe:

For Cake

  • 1/2 cup flour (all purpose)
  • 1/2 cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tbsp baking powder
  • A small pinch of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4-5 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 cup oil ( olive/ sunflower/ canola)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate 
  • 6-7 canned cherries

For Syrup

  • 5 tbsp water
  • 5tbsp sugar

For Whipped Cream

  • 1 & 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 5 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions for Black Forest Cake Recipe :

Take another bowl. Put 2 egg whites and blend them. Now add sugar gradually and keep stirring. Add egg yolks, vanilla extract & blend again. Add some oil with continuously stirring.

Mix the above 2 mixtures and blend them with a spatula. Then pour into the pan keeping in mind no space left in the mixture, so tap the mixture and put in the oven and left for 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees celsius.

After taking off the oven, check with a toothpick. If it comes out gently, means it’s ready. Let it be cooled down for half an hour.

Now take another heating bowl on medium flame & add 5 tbsp water and sugar, boil the mix and let it be cooled down. Now take another bowl & add whipping cream and powdered sugar. Beating up it with high speed so that no lumps will be there.

Take out the cake, cut off the top layer. Apply sugar syrup and then put whipped cream into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip, pipe out rosettes on the top. Now freeze the cake for 5-6 hours. Garnish it with fresh canned cherries and grated dark chocolate. And guess what your Black Forest Cake Recipe is ready to serve.
